Open Source

Post by kkwapnioski »

Good Evening. I recently started getting into DMR radio and picked up a GD-88. The stock cps leaves a lot to be desired and this one works great. I am a software engineer myself and would love to contribute to enhancement. Any chance of putting the source code on GitHub and open-sourcing the project?

I'm a programmer too. It would be nice to have the source code. Just to be able to help implement the software and fix any bugs. Is it possible to have it?

Not a programmer, but a big open source fan going back a long time -- also, as a Mac user, I see an open source path as a way that ARM-based computers might someday be able to run this software. As it is, I can't program my radio, even with the stock tools from Radioddity. ;-(

I do have plans to re-write the software in XAML which should be cross-platform with Windows, Linux and Mac :)
Once complete to it's current state I may also release as open source for future development and bugfixes.
