Anyone else would like this Program to be in Linux?

Post by N1HLK »

Now that my laptop updated to 11 (i didn't ask for it) some of the USB items don't work.
The cable that came with my DB25D doesn't work. I found a Baofeng cable works. But I was stuck for a while until I found that out. YA, Ii could try wine in Linux, some things don't work there either.

I do have plans to re-write the software in XAML which should be cross-platform with Windows, Linux and Mac :)
Once complete to it's current state I may also release as open source for future development and bugfixes.

Here it is running on Ubuntu.. currently doesn't actually do anything as I haven't ported any of the actual code over yet so it's just the basic start screen.
But.. technically could then be built for Windows, Linux, Mac and possible ARM64... Raspberry Pi?? :) :)

CPEditor.. on.. a Raspberry Pi??
Why yes.. yes it is :D :D

So far I've implemented opening/saving codeplugs, reading from the radio and only the first 4 of the 11 tabs.. so a fair bit left to do, but the concept works..
Should technically be truly cross-compatible across Windows, Linux, Mac, Raspberry Pi and I suppose other Arm/Arm64 based OS
