Retrieve Recordings

Post by va3iih »

The codeplug editor is a fantastic tool and makes it much easier to work with the radio. I'm extremely appreciative of all the hard work that has gone into making and releasing Codeplug Editor.

The radio has a feature to record audio but there is no way to retrieve these recordings (and associated metadata).

Is it possible to add this as a feature/tool to the editor?

Playback can be the responsibility of something else (like VLC) but getting the files off the radio is the first necessary step.

Unfortunately since no official CPS has ever utilised downloading of the recordings, I can't find the serial commands to do so.

It is possible as there is a command to read recordings from the radio but I'd need to know the memory addresses to do it, which I have never found.

I did ask Kydera (the manufacturer of all models.. Retevis, Radioddity etc) but never had a response from them about it.
