Bugs in 2025-11-19 build (on Mac)

Post by K7AEG »

Some issues I've noticed after reading a configuration from a DB25D, firmware date 2023-07-06.

After reading from the radio:

* Values (possibly correct) appear in Button Settings, but can not be changed

* APRS icon is a blank space

* If either APRS Icon Row or Icon Column are deleted, nothing can then be typed in the box. e.g. delete an existing "<" and no key can be typed in the box.

None of those are problems after starting a "New" configuration.

After hitting "New" for a new config (which IMO should have a confirmation dialog) reading from the radio is unreliable. Sometimes times out, sometimes completes but then some settings are blank. Guessing the app gets into a confused state.

Thank you for the app. Hoepfully these issues are easy to track down. Happy to provide more info.

Thanks for that. I'll look into them when I have the time to look into the code.

Seems the button settings are getting stuck in a read only state. Not sure why..

I know about the APRS text boxes, just forgot to fix it haha
It's to do with the input filters, limiting to 1 character etc
If you select all in the text box and then type something it should work again.. until you delete it again lol

The icon should then display correctly.
I do still have to write the icon selection box, like with the old Windows version. You can click the icon and then select the icon you want.. Easier than remembering the character for each icon or having to manually lookup what each one is.

I have noticed the random timeouts when reading or writing a codeplug..
Again I'm not sure why as the code is pretty much identical to the old code. Possibly something to do with the threading of how the code runs separate from the UI thread. Something taking longer than it should or gets stuck and the radio timeout occurs.
