Analog channel stays open after releasing PTT

Good day, I have a situation where my simplex or duplex channel stays open during a TX transmission - after I have released the PTT. My Scan function is OFF. Is there any advice as to where my settings are wrong? This is on a new (May-25) Kydera CDR-300UV.
