Volume setting for DB25-D?

Post by n3fih »

First, thanks for a brilliant, intuitive piece of software.
So far, the only shortcoming I've noticed when using it with my Radioddity DB25-d is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set the default volume; whenever I write the configuration to the radio, it reverts to full volume, causing me to jump several inches out of my seat when I forget to restore it after an upload.
I see a 'Prompt Tone" volume under "Other Settings", but that does not affect the overall volume.
Looking forward to any suggestions.

And if you found any other programming CPS that will work on the Db25-D

To set the default volume on the DB25-D / RT73;

Press the VOL / SQL button on the top of the radio.
Turn the knob to desired volume.
then
Press the knob in to save it. (don't press the B / E button)
Now the set volume should remain after a power cycle.

NB:
You should also be able to do this using the microphone, if you have buttons set for VOL, UP, DOWN and importantly MENU, since this is the same as pressing the knob.
Press VOL to activate the volume function.
Then using UP or DOWN to set desired volume.
Then press MENU to save it.
