DMR repeater scanning stop

Post by KD6WFR »

Hi-
Radioddity DB25-D
When I am in the TG's my radio changes channels to whatever TG has activity. How do I stop this and stay on one TG so the scanning stops?
Example: I have my radio on TG 3100 and TG 91 activates, my radio plays TG 91. How do I stay on 3100?
I have tried everything I can find- Promiscuous on/off etc.
Please help.
Thanks!

Hi,
If you have multiple talkgroups in the RX Group set for the channel then.. that channel will receive all talkgroups in that RX Group.
If you only want each channel to play audio for a single talkgroup, you would need to create a RX Group for each talkgroup individually and use them for the respective channels.

That is the way I use the radio, then if I want to listen to other activity I can enable promiscuous mode.

With the latest firmware you can technically leave the RX Group set to OFF and then that channel *should* receive only from the selected contact (like the AnyTone radios) but it doesn't always work correctly.
